What can I say about the 1,000,000 square foot, 330 department-filled department store Harrods?  Overwhelming?  Just a tad.  High-end?  I think that’s an understatement.  Worth the trip?  Yeah, probably.  It’s a fairly beautiful sight.  I mean, the place even has an art gallery and a fossil & crystal gallery.  Oh, and a library, a wedding dress section, a chocolate bar, and pretty much every purse a woman could want.

I think their motto serves them pretty well:  Omnia Omnibus Ubique—All Things for All People, Everywhere.  Although, this mainly applies if you have a wad of cash in your wallet or are ready for a self-deserving splurge.  I guess I wasn’t prepared for either, walking out with a mere £2.50 box of organic, fair trade tea.

Photo-taking was prohibited…but I managed to sneak a few in along my afternoon stroll through Harrods.

Welcome to Egypt Hall

A pen decked out in crystals...Not sure this one's meant to write with.

Worth nearly £10,000

A small selection of the art gallery

Oh trust me, this is not nearly a fifth of the shoes.

One day...
