Friday I went to Brighton, one of England’s south coast beach towns located a little over an hour (via public transportation) from London.

It was a stereotypical British beach day:  Chilly, cloudy, and breezy.

The water did not quite numb my feet, but it certainly wasn’t too inviting.  Regardless, the pebbled beach was charming.

Except for a few daring souls, the water was free of sun tan lotioned-waders, and even the surrounding area was pleasantly lacking the typical beach mob of people.

The Royal Pavilion, a 35 year project of King George IV

The gigantic rooms inside of this beautiful palace are incredible opulent.

While there isn’t much sun, these pictures and the beach are beautiful! I love the houses/buildings/apartments??? on the side of the beach. They almost look like they belong in Italy. And the picture of King George’s Royal Pavilion?? Awesome!

Love the beach, but I am familiar with the weather so I can imagine not many people would want to be at the beach.
