Top Ten British Candy Bars
I’ve never eaten so many candy bars within a six week time span. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten this many candy bars in my entire life.
But, for some odd reason, I chose candy bars as my topic for a “Top Ten” project required for the London program in which I’m involved. More than two handfuls of candy bars later, this is what I’ve put together.
(And for the record, yes I shared these candy bars with my friends. But yes, I did consume far too many candy bars these past few weeks. Oh well. Still alive and kickin’.)
Top Ten Candy Bars to Eat in the UK
Few can resist chocolate. Once you’ve had a taste of British chocolate, resistance becomes even harder. Don’t think America’s versions of British candy bars will suffice either. The ingredient list differs and the taste degrades. With convenience stores on nearly every block in London and so many chocolate choices to choose, here are the top ten British milk chocolate candy bar picks.

3. Double Decker
4. Mars
5. Yorkie with Raisins
6. Kinder Bueno
7. Cadbury Fudge
8. Cadbury Dairy Milk
9. Nestle Toffee Crisp
10. Terry’s Caramel Bite

What a fun project! I’d love to taste a bunch of candy bars for purposes of “research”. haha, i love it! I’ll have to keep “Boost” in mind whenever (if ever) I go to London
pretty shocked to see that Galaxy Ripple wasn’t one your list – Galaxy trumps Cadburys every time!!
I love Double Deckers, especially if they have been in the freezer – you have to eat them in layers.
And you need to learn the lingo – its a ‘corner shop’ – ha ha

Double decker is good and Lion is tasty too. Crunchies and aeros are not too bad. It depends on personal tastes too if you like choc, mint, caramel. Their versions of some US bars are better too. I get some here on the island, especially kinder and milka. I will admit, I ate way more candy bars there too than I ever would at home.
yes I’ve never been a fan of candy bars until I tried a Double Decker in Scotland…and then couldn’t stop buying them the rest of my trip!!! Why can’t the States make ‘em that good?

Yes, and every time I went into the corner shop looking for candy bars, the man at the cash register would make this lame joke. “You can’t buy that. Yorkies aren’t for girls!” I must have heard it over 5 times!

Long time, no write girl! LOL. I’ve never heard of alot of these – except for MARS and Dairy Milk…and I LOVE those. It’s weird, I never used to be just an all-milk-chocolate type of gal, but now I love it!…but I’ll still take that chewy texture of Mars please!
I’ve never tried any of those, but when I lived in Italy and I loved perusing the candy aisle. They just look funny! My favorite was called Kinder Bueno…omg. Hazelnut and wafer…omg. SO GOOD!
Kinder Bueno is #6! And yes, they’re very tasty.

we do have Boost over here, and the Cadbury Dairy Milk. other than that, i didn’t recognize. i like my chocolate straight up though: lindt all the way!
English chocolate is deffinately the best! And i can’t believe Galaxy or Aeros aren’t up there!
Did you try any Rowntrees products, because if you didn’t you haven’t tasted the full amazingness of British sweets!
