Cinque Terre is made up of 5 old fishing villages, located to the west of the city of La Spezia. The area might just be the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. As I traveled up into the mountains and beyond the designated touristy areas, the setting became even more remarkable with views just as scenic. The low-hanging clouds spit a light misty rain as my family and I wandered through the eerily quiet mountainous village. With many families off on holiday for the month of August, only a few old men were seen, playing cards and having a laugh at the local bar.
