Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square was listed as one of the top 10 “Great Public Spaces” in the American Planner’s Association’s 2010 list of “Great Places in America.”
Rittenhouse is conveniently located smack in Center City around 18th and Walnut Street. It became a protected public square as far back as 1816, and still stands today as a great public place to catch a few rays and spend sometime outdoors.
Rittenhouse Square is definitely a favorite and frequented hangout spot of mine on the weekends.
