Charlie Sheen’s Vegan Goddess

I recently had the chance to speak with Rachel Oberlin, one of Charlie Sheen’s goddesses, on being vegan. Read the intro. below, and then click the link to read the rest of the interview on OK! Magazine’s site. Feel free to share any comments on my site!

Get ready everyone, Charlie Sheen’s about to hop on stage once again. This time he’s ditching scripted TV for his own self-promoted tour, heading out on the road April 2 in Detroit. Along for the ride will be Rachel Oberlin, aka Bree Olson, one of Sheen’s famed “goddesses” who tells OK! she’ll be by Charlie’s side for his “My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option” tour.

Rachel isn’t just a Charlie goddess. She’s also recently been awarded the title of “Green Goddess” by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) because of her commitments in leading a vegan lifestyle. Rachel has been meat-free, dairy-free since July of 2010, after reading the witty, underlying guide to veganism, Skinny Bitch, written by best-selling authors Rory Freedman, a former FORD modeling agent, and Kim Barnouin, a former model.

Apparently it doesn’t take much to be considered a goddess these days. I am disappointed to see the media promote this woman or Charlie in the meltdown phase of his life. She entered his life during his drug induced epic binge party where he admits to using mass quantities of cocaine. Cheers to her for being vegan…shaking my head.

You have a good point Pam. However, we should try our hardest to find the good in everyone, right? It lays within everyone.

A couple of comments. The first is that it was a good interview that showed a side of someone that the tabloid press often ignores. I decided to comment because it was an interesting interview and I have chatted with her about being a vegan. She was the person who got me reading Skinny Bitch/Bastard which I would now recommend.

The second point is that your Pamela is wrong in saying that “she entered his life during his drug induced epic binge party where he admits to using mass quantities of cocaine”. It seems as if they have had a relationship for quite awhile and that he would fly into her hometown of Fort Wayne to visit her. See the recent interview she gave to her local newspaper the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette. She was living in Fort Wayne when he had his epic binge party and it was only afterwards, when he committed to trying to get clean, that she moved out to L.A. to join him. I have no idea as to the true nature of their relationship but I think it is more complex then many give it credit for.
